Mission:
- Each year, ALPOA accepts nominations to the Board of Directors. This open process helps the Nomination Committee accomplish its mission to promote riparian organizational diversity in ALPOA’s leadership.
- Recruit new members, explore and implement new ways to improve the support of ALPOA.

Membership Trends – The Membership Committee continues to strive to increase membership of ALPOA. There are 208 lots listed on Ann Lake. Based on records through 2010, membership has ranged from a low of 67 in 2010 to a high of 88 in 2014 & 2018. The Committee is always looking for volunteers with new ideas for increasing this outreach.
Board Member Duties & Responsibilities
Board member’s term is three years. A nominee for board member must be a member of ALPOA. Term begins Jan. 1. Duties include:

Make attendance at Board meetings and other special meetings of high priority (50% of the yearly meetings at a minimum). Meetings are held from May to Oct with email correspondence the remaining months.

Notify President if unable to attend any meeting or if you have to arrive late.

Actively serve on one committee as the Committee Chair

Voluntarily assume responsibility for various tasks that arise from Board discussions, and seek to involve others (non-board) in ALPOA projects or tasks. Complete agreed upon tasks in a timely manner.

Promote ALPOA events and activities with employing agencies, to other members, and the general public.

Assist chairs of the annual meeting by encouraging attendance and serving as a volunteer during the event (set-up, break-down, registration, etc.).

Make attendance at the annual meeting a high priority.

Submit 1 article for ALPOA’s E-Newsletter, per year.

Conduct other specific tasks as requested by the President.
